A Triple-Cascode X-Band LNA Design with Modified Post-Distortion Network

This work proposes a novel linearized low noise amplifier (LNA) for X-band applications with flat power gain, performance and enhanced linearity. In this study, triple-cascode topology dual-resonant network is utilized modified post-distortion introduced to improve the The LNA utilizes subthreshold auxiliary NMOS transistor reduce nonlinearity consumption. addition, methodology proposed predict characteristic of linearity network. With small increase 1 mW in consumption due inclusion network, input intercept point IIP3 improved lies range ?3 +8 dBm over frequency from 8 12 GHz. Implemented Global Foundries 130 nm CMOS process, achieves peak gain 18 dB, 1.3 dB minimum NF requires an area 1.2 mm2 mW.
